Barrington House - Founder of Roswell, GA
Smith Plantation - Co-founders of Roswell, GA
Ruins of Textile Mill in Roswell, GA - Was the only thing destroyed in the town during the Civil War.
Many theories abound as to why nothing else was destroyed or damaged. One being that the founders of this town were Masons and so was Sherman and the brotherhood the bonds them as Masons was strong enough for Sherman to spare them. Another is that the Presbyterian Minister stayed in town and convinced the Union Army to spare the town, since most people were Presbyterian.
