St Marks Lighthouse in San Marcos Wildlife

On our way out of here to head to the airport we saw a black bear -- unfortunately I did not get my camera out in time. It was in the middle of the road. I can tell you this, when they stand up on their hind legs they are a lot bigger then you think.

This particular spot has seen a lot of history.
San Marocs de Apalache
I'm not going to go into all of the history for you but the Spanish first built a fort here shortly have America was discovered. Since then it has been occupied by the Indians, Spanish again, Britain, United States, Confederate Army. Each occupation used building materials from the previous occupants so their are just remains left but it was really interesting.
