Providence Canyon State Park

Matthew took me up to this canyon on April 5th, 2008. It was beautiful, though a bit wet.
The canyon was formed by poor farming practices in the mid-1800s. Cotton farmers stripped the land to plant cotton (obviously, since they were cotton farmers :-)) by 1870 there were 10 to 15 foot ditches in some of the fields and since then it has continued it's erosion which formed these canyons some of the deepest being 150 feet deep.
